WHY WE DO
The Global AI Creative Award is an international creative competition organised by the UK Young Artists Association for young creators worldwide.
The award invites participants to create original works that combine AI, artistic imagination, and social value. Submissions should respond to one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including climate action, environmental protection, ocean conservation, sustainable cities, education, equality, technology, and the future of society.
The competition does not require every artwork to be created entirely by AI. Instead, it recognises AI as a creative tool that can support idea development, image generation, digital enhancement, mixed-media production, and new forms of visual storytelling

Open to young creators worldwide
6–28 years old
Open globally, with no nationality restriction
Accepted forms of work
All submissions must be either AI-generated or AI-assisted.
Submissions may include, but are not limited to:
- AI-generated image/video
- AI-assisted digital artwork
- AI-enhanced photography
- AI-assisted illustration
- AI-assisted painting or traditional artwork
- AI-edited mixed media
- AI-assisted video or animation
Traditional painting, illustration, photography, or mixed-media work may be submitted only if AI has been meaningfully used in the creative process. Participants should clearly explain how AI was used in the artwork statement.
Theme Direction
Participants are encouraged to develop works around SDGs-related issues, such as:
- Climate change and environmental protection
- Oceans and ecosystems
- Equality and social inclusion
- Sustainable cities and future living
- Education and future society
- Technology, humanity, and responsible innovation
Each work should clearly explain the issue it responds to, the creator’s understanding of that issue, the future vision proposed by the work, and how AI was used in the creative process.
